Chef Tineke “Tini” Younger, known for her TikTok videos, shared some good news with her viewers. On June 20, 2025, she posted a video on Instagram announcing her pregnancy with twins.
The video, which was seemingly an unconventional pregnancy announcement, showed her and her husband, Antoine Wright Jr., baking buns in the kitchen. Interestingly, in the thumbnail of the video, one can see two buns inside an oven, with a slate in the background having these words written on it:
“2 buns in the oven 2025.”
At the beginning of the video, she pulled Antoine to the kitchen station and said,
“Today, we are gonna be putting a bun in the oven. We need Antoine’s help for this. It’s a two-person job.”
Tini then took a bowl and put bread flour in it. According to her, the reason she took two cups was that it was the magic number for the day. She then added warm water, followed by salt and two teaspoons of yeast.
The couple then combined the mixture, and as the dough became sticky, she put it in another bowl and covered it with plastic wrap.
After allowing it to rest for some time, the dough’s size doubled. She put the dough on a parchment paper and split it into two. Tini then suggests that the division should be in a way that makes them identical. The individual dough balls were covered and allowed to rest for 20 minutes.
They took the plastic wrapping off, sprinkled flour, and made incision marks in the middle of the dough balls. They used a Dutch oven to bake the buns. As Tini first opened the oven door, it showed only one bun inside, to which she became surprised and said,
“Hold on, that’s not right.”
She then opened the oven door, and there were two buns inside.
Tineke “Tini” Younger had a “learning disability” in her childhood
Tini also shared an Instagram story with the same slate that was seen inside the oven. However, this time, it had an image of her ultrasound on top. According to E! News, the couple had their wedding in November 2024 in Jamaica.
She shared an Instagram post that same month, where she said she would cook for her husband as she flashed her wedding ring to the viewers. Tini shared that she chose to make chicken alfredo because it was the first dish she cooked for Antoine when they started dating and also the first meal she made for him after they got engaged.
She described the wedding as wonderful and mentioned that Antoine cried a lot during the ceremony, which was exactly the reaction she had hoped for. Meanwhile, in an interview with Forbes in 2024, it was mentioned that she did not initially plan to become a chef. She said,
“I was a bad kid…I would set off stink bombs to purposely miss out on a test. And I had a little mouth on me too. And I have a learning disability, so my grades weren't the best.”
Tini recalled that she was cooking in a tiny, rundown apartment while she and her now-husband struggled financially, even selling their furniture to cover rent. She decided to treat her time on Next Level Chef like an internship and focus on learning as much as she could during the experience.
