BTS' RM is a known art enthusiast. This year was the first time that 20 prominent figures heading the Korean art market were chosen for the 'Korea Art Market 2025' report, which is released yearly by the Seoul National University's Management Research Institute and the Paradise Cultural Foundation. The sole non-artist on this list was RM.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) will host an exclusive show of RM's private collection in October of next year. The report described Kim Namjoon as:

"a passionate art collector and cultural influencer."

It further continued:

"He frequently visits art museums and contemporary art exhibitions at home and abroad, sharing his experiences through social media to foster public interest in art."

Fans of Namjoon were glad to see him getting a recognition in a new category. Therefore, his fans flooded the internet with their adulation for the LOST! rapper.

One of them on X said: “RM’s creating a legacy.”

The fact that he’s the only person outside the art industry recognized shows how deeply his passion and influence resonate. His quiet support for Korean artists, museum visits, and art donations have helped spark a new generation’s appreciation for contemporary art. Truly a cultural leader in every sense.”
One of his followers referred to Namjoon as the father of K-pop: “The kind of respect the father of kpop deserves IKTR.”
Another fan commented that BTS' RM is collecting art like Pokemon cards: “OMG, RM really out here collecting art like it's Pokémon cards! Can’t wait for his exhibition – we might need a code like “ONENIGHTLOVE” to sneak in!”

BTS' RM will work together with SFMOMA for art exhibition next year

Kim Namjoon has partnered with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, or simply SFMOMA, to put on an art show that will take place next year. The BTS leader emerged as the inaugural K-Pop singer to work together with the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) since its foundation.

The museum originally suggested the idea, citing RM's wide collecting hobbies and love of modern art. The exhibition will be co-curated by RM and the museum.
