A video that went viral on YouTube has made a shocking claim. It said that famous actor Jim Carrey testified in court during the ongoing sex trafficking case involving music star Sean “Diddy” Combs. The video appeared to confuse viewers. It had a strange title and claimed to share real details from a courtroom. The video was shared by a YouTube channel called WhatIsMyStarWorth. In the title, it said:
"Jim Carrey: ‘I Took a Bath with Diddy to Get Famous’ – This Flipped the Courtroom.”
The video also claimed that Carrey gave this statement in a federal courtroom. Many people saw the video—it quickly got more than 133K views. Some thought the claims were true. The title sounded quite serious, and the video even claimed that the courtroom was shocked by what Carrey said.
But none of it is real. The actor and comedian Jim Carrey did not speak in court, as he is not part of Diddy’s trial, and there is no proof at all that he was involved in any way. The video was made for entertainment and was not based on any solid facts. The description of the video read:
"Jim Carrey has reportedly taken the stand and made one of the most bizarre and shocking confessions of the entire trial — claiming, "I took a bath with Diddy to get famous." The courtroom was left in utter disbelief as Carrey shared disturbing details about what he says happened early in his career, and how far some are willing to go to break into the industry."
There is even a disclaimer note in the video that states:
“This content is fictional and created for entertainment purposes only. No verified court documents or official statements confirm these claims.”
It also says that computer tools were used to create fake voices and images. That means the voice in the video was not even Carrey’s real voice. The truth is simple: Jim Carrey did not testify. The video is fake.

What did Jim Carrey say, as per the Video?
The video is more than 23 minutes long, stating that it shares a full “courtroom testimony” from Jim Carrey. It claims this testimony was reported by Inner City Press, a news group that covers trials. But Inner City Press never posted any such story. This shows the claim is not true. In the video, the narrator says Carrey spoke about taking a bath with Diddy early in his career.
The video also claims that Jim Carrey went to parties hosted by Diddy. Again, there is no public report or picture showing Carrey at any such party. The two stars were never linked in that way. The only time Carrey even joked about Diddy was in 1999. He was on the Conan O’Brien show to talk about his movie Man on the Moon. Conan asked about his plans for the holidays. Carrey, trying to be funny, said:
"I do these elaborate things every year. I go, you know, all over the place. I do, you know, it's always so busy. So, I just wanted to keep it real. I think I'm going over to Puff Daddy's house."
Puff Daddy is another name for Diddy. But this was clearly a joke. It was said in a funny way, not a serious one. Since then, Jim Carrey has never spoken about Diddy again. He has not been linked to him in real life. There are no pictures, no stories, no interviews that show a connection between them.
Why the Video is clearly false
The YouTube channel that posted the video is known for making strange claims. In its bio, the channel even says that it shares gossip and rumors. It tells people to be careful and not believe everything. That alone shows that the content should not be trusted.
Also, if someone like Jim Carrey really spoke in court, major news sites would cover it. News channels like CNN, BBC, Reuters, and AP News would report on it. But none of them have said anything about this. That’s another sign that it is not true.
So if you saw the video about Jim Carrey and Diddy, now you know the truth. It was not real. It was just another internet hoax.
