Adin Ross’s legal trouble with Roc Nation seems to have gotten worse. On November 20, a video was posted on the X account ‘@AkademiksTV,’ which was a streaming session in which he said that when Ross went for his deposition, he got a subpoena for his phone to be searched. Akademiks said:“Adin shows up before his lawyers and they look at Adin and say, ‘Hey Adin Ross.’”In Akademiks’ words, Ross told them that he was there for his deposition and his lawyers were on their way to the place. However, those lawyers then told him that they had another subpoena for him. Recalling their words, Akademiks said:“We need to see your phone and they actually take his phone and go through like certain…They couldn’t get the whole phone but they had a subpoena for his messages with certain people. And they went through and printed out.”According to Akademiks’ opinion, Ross’s phone records would be used for the trial. The legal issue between Ross and Roc Nation stems from the lawsuit that rapper Megan Thee Stallion filed. She accused the singer, among others, of spreading wrong information about the 2020 shooting incident during which Tory Lanez hurt her after allegedly firing shots at her.According to a report by HotNewHipHop, Adin Ross’s deposition was held on November 13. During a streaming session, he said:“In my opinion, bro, these Roc Nation lawyers, bro, they're getting paid a bag. A very big bag. Very big bag, Like, bro, I feel like they're getting at least $20K an hour.”DJ Akademiks and Adin Ross talk about the Mariachi band stunt that Roc Nation pulled offIn September 2025, Adin Ross was sent legal papers in connection with the Megan Thee Stallion case. However, the process of him getting the documents was different. As per a report by BET, his security people did not accept the papers and hence a mariachi band was made to perform outside his house so that it would grab his attention. During one of the streams, he told Akademiks:“They called a mariachi, like a Mexican band, to perform outside my house to make me want to come outside so they can serve me the paper.”Speaking about the deposition, he said:“So me and my lawyer are hopping on a call tomorrow to figure out when I’m going to do the deposition, and I’m going to ask if I can stream it.”DJ Akademiks jokingly asked Adin Ross if he initially thought the mariachi stunt was a prank or not. The streamer replied:“Me, too. Well, I thought it was my chat, but then I found out cause they admitted it to my security guard. One of the lawyers is like, ‘We had to do that to make sure Mr. Ross would come out and actually, you know, accept the deposition sh*t.’ So, my security guard's like, ‘What?’ Like, ‘You can't f*cking do that.’”Adin Ross clarified that legally, they could do this stunt but nevertheless, they did not have access to his driveway. Despite that, the people refused to stop playing music until Ross came out and took the papers.
