Dolly Parton, a legend in country music, has been experiencing constant health problems which have caused her to cancel her shows and raise eyebrows among her fans. In recent times, her sister Freida Parton went to Facebook to request prayers on behalf of the 79-year old singer. This was only a week after Dolly announced that she was going to postpone her Las Vegas residency shows because of medical reasons.
Freida was very concerned about the state of her sister and in her post, she discussed it in depth.
“Last night, I was up all night praying for my sister, Dolly,” she wrote. “Many of you know she hasn’t been feeling her best lately. I truly believe in the power of prayer, and I have been lead to ask all of the world that loves her to be prayer warriors and pray with me."
Freida added that she believes in the power of prayer and asked fans around the world to join her.
“She’s strong, she’s loved, and with all the prayers being lifted for her, I know in my heart she’s going to be just fine. Godspeed, my sissy Dolly. We all love you!”
The representatives of Dolly are yet to give any official statement on her health condition. Nevertheless, the country icon has already given some details about what she is going through.
Dolly Parton postpones Las Vegas Residency due to health issues

On September 28, Dolly Parton confirmed to fans that she was going to have to delay a scheduled Las Vegas residency. The singer of the song Jolene described in a message posted on social networking site that she had been having a few health issues.
“I want the fans and public to hear directly from me that, unfortunately, I will need to postpone my upcoming Las Vegas concerts,” she said.
Dolly Parton went on to share that her doctors had advised her to undergo a few medical procedures before returning to the stage.
She added a lighthearted remark, saying, “As I joked with them, it must be time for my 100,000-mile check-up, although it's not the usual trip to see my plastic surgeon.”
The singer explained that she needed more time to recover so that she could deliver the kind of show her fans deserve.
“You pay good money to see me perform, and I want to be at my best for you,” Dolly told her followers.
She assured them that although she will take time to rest, she will keep working on her projects at home from Nashville. The delayed concerts will be rearranged in September next year in The Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

In mid-September, Dolly Parton also missed another event in her Dollywood theme park in Tennessee. The occasion was marking the launch of a new roller coaster, yet the singer was present by way of the video message.
“Hello Dollywood! It’s me,” Dolly said in the video.
She went on to explain that she had been dealing with a kidney stone that led to an infection.
“The doctor said, ‘You don’t need to be traveling right this minute, so you need a few days to get better,’” she shared.

“I was looking so forward to it,” she said, promising to return once she recovered.
