Charlie Kirk’s wife, Erika, posted a carousel on Instagram with a heartwarming caption, as she showed glimpses of her being beside her husband’s body, inside a casket. One of the videos showed Erka becoming emotional as she held Charlie Kirk’s hand and repeatedly expressed her love, culminating in a kiss on his hand.

Social media user poured their reactions to the video after others reshared it. One X user, however, was not seemingly pleased with it, as they commented:

“Some things aren’t content. Grief doesn’t need a share button.”

Others wrote that it was a heartbreaking moment, as one netizen wrote:

“This is one of the hardest and saddest videos I’ve ever seen. My heart hurts so much for her.”

Another user wrote:

“She's reminding everyone how real this is. This woman is coming for it all.”

Meanwhile, an online commentator wrote that the idea of filming Charlie Kirk’s body was not a dignified act. They opined:

“Not even the body can have dignity here? It has to be filmed and disseminated like a political poster? I feel for the guy and am deeply appalled by his murder but this video is galling to me.”

Others defended Erika, saying that she wanted to share the experience with everyone. A platform user commented:

“Heart breaking She is taking us though the journey with her because she knows we are all grieving with her. May God give her Strength.”

Similarly, another person responded to the post:

“The grief we are feeling is nothing compared to what she is going through. God bless Erika.”

A look into Erika’s previous social media posts about her life with Charlie Kirk

On August 22, Erika posted an Instagram post about Charlie Kirk and a message she has for others. In the post, which included a video of Charlie walking in a mall with his daughter, she wrote that daughters watch closely how their parents treat each other.

Erika said a wife should support, love, and encourage her husband, and if she married the right man, this would be easier. She explained that a good husband would guide the family and show his children, especially daughters, how a man should treat them.

According to her, daughters notice everything, from how a father speaks to their mother, prays, leads the home, and stands up for what is right. Through this, daughters learn not just about love in marriage but also about the love of God.

The post's caption continued:

“Remember, true deep coveneant love for your husband is NOT passive, love is a verb, it is the active choice, daily to pray for him and with him, respect him, extend grace to him, show gratitude for him, support the calling God entrusted to him, be present for him, dream with him, honor him...daily.”

Tagging Charlie Kirk, Erik thanked him for being the best. Charlie also commented below the video with a red heart.

On August 20, she posted a carousel with her family, as she reflected on her life, favorite moments, and parenthood. She wrote that she liked building her life with Charlie Kirk, who also expressed his love in a comment below the post.
