The online community is coming together to honor Rolling Ray on what would have been his 29th birthday.

The Washington D.C.-based social media star passed away earlier this week at 28. His disability representation and online humor were loved by many. Rolling Ray has used a wheelchair since his teenage years. He rose to fame with viral catchphrases like "Purr" and "Aww bye." He became a significant figure across social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok.

Today, September 5, 2025, is Ray's birthday. Friends and fans are posting messages alongside memories of the late internet star. One such fan wished:

The Internet remembers the late Rolling Ray on his birthday

Pop Crave took to its official X (formerly Twitter) to share that,

"Happy birthday to the late Rolling Ray."

Netizens were quick to weigh in on the comment section to wish the late social media star. Below are some of their remarks:

"Passing right before your brithday is so sad💔 praying for his family," penned a fan.
"Remembering Rolling Ray today highlights his impact and the joy he brought to the community," stated another.
"y'all never posted his birthday before he died now y'all exploiting this poor man's death for interactions," opined a third.

Others also chimed in:

"He died just a few days before his birthday?? What the f**k man. That is crazy. May he rest in peace," expressed a netizen.

"Rolling Ray has passed away, just days before his 29th birthday. The news was confirmed by his mother. We are sending love and condolences to his family," wrote a third.

Ray's mother, Sazola Nay, confirmed the news yesterday in a Facebook post. She wrote:

"It is with a heavy heavy heart that I let you all know that my son Ray Ray iamrollingray has gone home to be with the Lord. I thank everyone who has called or texted, this is going to be a long road. Please pray for us as we push forward to lay him to rest. Only God knows."

She also thanked supporters for their messages and asked for prayers as the family prepared to lay him to rest. Zeus Network also shared a tribute on Instagram, calling him "authentically [his] truest self."

Notably, no cause of death has been officially released yet. However, Ray's past health struggles include COVID-19, which once left him in a coma. He was also hospitalized in 2024 for pneumonia and a blood infection.
