Make-up artist Jeffree Star shared his thoughts about Charlie Kirk. On September 18, he sat down on the Piers Morgan Uncensored show with other panellists. When Morgan asked how he particularly felt about Kirk’s death and the chain of reactions that followed after the incident, Star said it was horrifying to him, as he was also an outspoken person.

He said he loves the truth, but people are afraid of the same. Jeffree Star mentioned that people told him that Charlie Kirk would have hated someone like him. However, in his opinion:

“No, he would have respected me because I'm my own person and I know how to have my own thoughts. So, when I found that when I saw it in real time, I was completely devastated. I can't believe someone that has an opinion is now dead. It's disgusting.”

Morgan showed one of Star’s TikTok videos where he shared his opinions about the murder. When asked what consequences he faced after the video went viral, he said that nearly 100,000 people unfollowed him. Jeffree Star said he couldn’t imagine how a section of Americans would celebrate Charlie Kirk’s death.

He said he didn’t agree with everything Kirk said, but loved most of his opinions and thoughts that resonated with him. Reflecting on the exodus of followers, he said:

“But the good news is hundreds of thousands of more people have followed me and they're on the exact same page. So, I don't care about the following. It's not about that. I just had to speak my mind.”

Brian Shapiro praises Jeffree Star for his views about Charlie Kirk

Piers Morgan then asked Brian Shapiro what he thought about Jeffree Star getting those reactions. He agreed, saying that it was 150% disgusting. He said anyone who celebrated Kirk’s death is a disgusting person. His thoughts for Jeffree Star were:

“And I applaud you for, you know, doing the right thing and being a good human being and saying this is horrible. Charlie Kirk didn't deserve this. I feel for his kids and his family. Doesn't mean we have to agree with everything Charlie Kirk stood for, which obviously I don't.”

Shapiro said that he also got death threats from people on social media. He said he could feel what Star endured. In Shapiro’s opinion:

“We should be able to have a respectful dialogue about Charlie Kirk.”

In one of his old videos, Jeffree Star said people were shocked that he had sympathy for Kirk. Star said:

“He was a very intelligent person and it’s so funny that these people never have a real answer. How come they never have a real answer back? He literally is just asking simple scientific facts.”

Star said he wanted to know why nobody could answer a real question. He said that as an old social media user, he would often scroll through social media and also enjoy some of Kirk’s debates.
