Graham Linehan is speaking out on his arrest over the X tweets. Last week, the Father Ted and The IT Crowd writer revealed being arrested over controversial tweets he posted on X. The news was shared via his Substack account.
Speaking of the same to the BBC in a recent interview, the writer reportedly said:
"I don't regret anything I've tweeted - sometimes I've tweeted a bit more out of anger, because of the frustration that no-one's paying attention to this issue"
Adding to his statement, he said:
"I got very, very angry, because for eight years now, I've been standing up for women's rights and trying to get people's attention about what's happening to kids in gender clinics."
As part of his bail conditions, Linehan was instructed not to use X (formerly Twitter). Following the viral post, Linehan’s Substack subscriber count went over 40,000, placing him at No. 3 on the platform’s “Rising in Culture” chart at the moment.
