"Charlie Puth will sing the National Anthem at the Super Bowl."

Netizens were notably quick to jump into the comment section of the X post to share their opinions on Puth's selection. Below are some of their remarks:

"Charlie Puth hearing every single note in that stadium about to go crazy with the pitch correction. Super Bowl anthem boutta have 47 harmony layers, we love to see it.", declared an X user.
"he has got an angelic voice and i am sure he is gonna harmonize the shit out of the anthem fr", penned another.
"Charlie Puth? The Super Bowl has gone from legendary voices to generic TikTok pop filler. Get ready for an overproduced, auto-tuned, utterly forgettable performance.", commented a third.

Others also chimed in:

"I don't get why they have to take an A list artist to do something school children can do and should be made to do by the way", shared a netizen.
"Aye, I hope he remembers it is a song, not a series of vocal gymnastics! Best keep it simple so everyone can join in, can't have the whole crowd standing there like deer in headlights.", wrote another.
"kendrick should have done better job", commented another.

Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez added,

"Charlie, Brandi, and Coco are generational talents, and we are honored to have them, alongside our extraordinary deaf performers, on Super Bowl LX's world stage. This moment embodies the very best of culture, live performance, and our country, perfectly kicking off game day."

Puth's confirmation as the Super Bowl National Anthem performer comes ahead of the release of his fourth studio album, Whatever's Clever!, which has been slated to be released on March 6, 2026.
