Elon Musk, who was just last week seen attending the FIFA World Cup draw ceremony, where he and Donald Trump were seen dancing to Y.M.C.A. song, recently spoke up about Zohran Mamdani's interaction with the President. According to Reuters, the Tesla CEO recently appeared on The Katie Miller Podcast, where he spoke about the clip of the viral interaction between Mamdani and Trump when asked about fascism. He said:
"It was awesome"
Elon Musk, who was just last month predicted to become a trillionaire after the Tesla Board of Directors approved a new compensation package, was fined €120 millon (approximately $140 million) last Friday for violating transparency policies. According to BBC, X (formerly Twitter) was issued this fine under EU's Digital Services because the blue check feature of the platform was allegedly "deceptive." Following this, on Monday, December 8, Musk responded to the fine by terminating the European Commission's account on X (formerly Twitter).
More from Elon Musk's recent appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast, as he talks about the viral Zohran Mamdani and Donald Trump interaction
In his appearance on The Katie Miller Podcast on Tuesday, December 9, Elon Musk spoke about how Donald Trump is effortlessly funny, citing the interaction of Zohran Mamdani and Donald Trump, where the latter asked the New York Mayoral-Elect to agree with the reporter's statements and call him a fascist. Musk said:
"President Trump is the funniest person I know in real life. He's got a great sense of humor. He's naturally funny. It's effortless. When he had Mamdani in the office and he told Mamdani to call him a fascist, that was awesome."
Zohran Mamdani and President Donald Trump have been at odds since the very beginning. According to reports, back on November 21, Mamdani flew to Washington, where he met with the President at the White House, and the two attended a conference in the Oval Office, where their somewhat friendly interaction went viral.
According to USA Today, Elon Musk, during his conversation with Katie Miller, who previously served as the Communications Director to Vice President Mike Pence, also spoke about his DOGE (Department of Government Efficiency) initiative, adding that despite it being "somewhat successful," he would not think of doing it again. He said:
"We were somewhat successful. We stopped a lot of funding that really just made no sense, that was just entirely wasteful. For example, there was probably $100, maybe $200 billion worth of zombie payments per year, which simply by enforcing that there be a payment code and an explanation for the payment, the payment would not go out."
The Department of Government Efficiency was previously created to cut excess federal government spending and reduce excessive regulations, which led to mass layoffs across several federal organizations.
