Digital strategist and journalist Eric Spracklen shared updates after tsunami alerts were issued for places like Japan, Russia, Alaska, Hawaii, and Guam. This happened after a major earthquake hit Kamchatka, Russia.

Meanwhile, taking to his X, Spracklen shared a video showing a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, on which he was on board. He also shared a glimpse of the sea. Following this post, he shared another one, showing the inside of the cruise. He wrote that the captain alerted everyone about the earthquake, adding:

“This was the first we heard about it here on the ship. Most everyone is aware however as friends/family/social media have let them know.”

As heard in the video, the captain said:

“(We) are taking all measures with local coastguards and authorities to ensure the safety of our guests. Your well-being and safety remain our top priority.”

In another post, Eric Spracklen wrote that everything was going well so far, but he was a little worried about what would happen if the casino shut down. Until then, he was trying to decide between red and black while playing.

He also spoke to India Today to report on the developing situation. When asked if he could feel the tremors, Spracklen said he couldn’t feel any tremors at the time. He said the ship was sailing smoothly and they were on their way to Sitka, a city in Alaska. Eric Spracklen then turned his camera and showed the sea and said:

“We are supposed to get to Sitka in the morning but yeah, I mean, it’s smooth sailing right now not a lot’s going on.”

When asked if the passengers on the ship were in a state of panic, Eric Spracklen said there weren’t any such warnings. However, he said, with the news being spread, people on the cruise talked about it. Other than that, he said the situation was calm. The reporter then asked if the tides on the sea were high, to which he replied:

“Not where we are at. Like I said, we are gonna be going to Sitka. We are on our way to Sitka, Alaska. We get there in the morning so we left out of Seattle yesterday so we are kind of just on out way to Sitka along the coastline. So, it might get here, you know, here in a few hours.”

On July 22, Eric shared a post, remembering that it had been nine years since Donald Trump accepted the Republican nomination in Cleveland.

Back in 2016, he went to more than 50 rallies. Many people thought he was being silly and said Trump couldn’t win.

The journalist had previously praised Tim Burchett, a politician, calling him one of the most honest people in Congress and thanking him for always telling the truth. Eric Spracklen also said that Tim’s efforts were seen and appreciated.
