A quote circulating online, allegedly from Rihanna, has the internet talking — and applauding.

In the viral snippet, the singer and beauty mogul reportedly said:

“I didn't wait 35 years to have kids just to let someone else take care of them.”

Though it’s unclear where or when Rihanna made the statement, or if she even said it at all, the sentiment has fueled discussions among fans on X (formerly Twitter), with many praising the “We Found Love” songstress for her supposed hands-on parenting style.

“Rihanna don’t pop out like she used to. Neither does Rocky. They home wit the babies,” @ladidaix wrote with heart emoji.

“Clock dat rihanna while you enjoy them children of yours drop the album asap and I don’t mean rocky,” @RodayDrive said.

“What a gorgeous way to put it. This woman will always amaze me. Incredible work/life balance. She’s a business woman, a legend and a fantastic mother,” @GagCityDolls commented.

Some, however, interpreted the quote as a subtle dig at Kim Kardashian’s parenting choices, while others used it as a playful reminder that fans are still (desperately) waiting on R9.

Rihanna’s also making sure her kids stay rooted in culture, from their names to their hair. In March last year, she told Vogue China:

“This is a form of protection by our ancestors...[it] makes us realize where we've come from. This is our lost history. I immediately wanted my children to have their hair braided… it's something in our blood."

It’s clear Rihanna and Rocky are committed to raising their kids with love and a strong sense of self, famous or not.
