A community vigil was reportedly held for 15-year-old Celeste Rivas on Sunday evening in Lake Elsinore. According to the local news outlet, Orange County News Register, approximately 50 residents, primarily young adults and high-school students gathered to honor Celeste, whose body was found earlier this month on September 8 in an impounded Tesla, registered in the name of singer D4vd.
KABC reported that a memorial had been erected on a street where Celeste lived. The news outlet reported that while many didn't know her closely, they expressed empathy and fear that it could have happened to anyone whom they "loved and cared" for.

Lake Elsinore residents reportedly gathered with flowers, candles, and tribute messages for Celeste Rivas on September 21 at approximately 7 p.m. According to footage secured by the local news channel, Onscene TV, a banner with the words, "Justice for Celeste Rivas" was also placed during the community vigil.
KTLA spoke to the mourners who came together to pay tribute to Celeste. A resident by the name Evelyn noted,
"This really hits home as a mom. This could have been anybody’s kid.”
KTLA also spoke to a former classmate, Aubrey Domingo, who expressed her grief and noted,
“I feel really bad for what happened to her because this story is really messed up. I don’t even know what to say.”

Residents of Lake Elsinore prayed for Celeste Rivas and hope for clarity and justice. D4vd is reportedly cooperating with the investigation and has cancelled his remaining shows on the tour. According to news outlets, the police searched D4vd's Hollywood Hills home the previous week but have not released specific information about the ongoing investigation.
