English broadcaster Piers Morgan blasted Meghan Markle in his recent interview with YouTuber Megyn Kelly. In the interview published on November 14, Kelly brought up the upcoming acting project of the Duchess of Sussex. From there, the conversation moved to Meghan Markle's celebratory reaction over the Dodgers' recent win.
For the unversed, the Sussexes' friend Kelly McKee Zajfen shared a clip on her Instagram story after the Dodgers secured a victory against the Toronto Blue Jays on November 1. In the clip, Meghan Markle was seen cheering, whereas Prince Harry looked upset. Referring to the video, Piers Morgan asked Megyn Kelly if she had watched the clip.
Commenting on reactions from the Duchess and the Prince, Morgan said:
"Literally like a like a hyena with a spear in his back, wasn't it? The half wit sat there like he was doped out of his brains, which he probably was. And the whole thing was so cringe, wasn't it?"
Piers Morgan recalls leaving job over apology to Meghan Markle
In the interview, the English broadcaster recalled when he left the ITV show Good Morning Britain for his comments on the Duchess of Sussex. On his show, he questioned the Meghan Markle claims about the Royal family that she made in the Oprah Winfrey interview.
In the interview with Megyn Kelly, Piers Morgan recalled the Sussexes' interview with Winfrey and remarked:
"It was all the racism claims turned out to be...The mental health claims were bullsh*t, all of it was designed to damage and attack the royal family, the monarchy, and all of it. And it made me puke."
Piers Morgan challenged Meghan Markle's alleged racist accusations against the Royal family on his show. He noted that there were "absolutely big fat zero" chances that King Charles and Katherine would have "expressed negative concern about the skin color of an unborn child." He further noted that after he questioned the Duchess' claims, the TV regulator received complaints against him, and eventually he left the job.
"In the end I was told 57,000 people complained to the television regulator in the UK. A world record. I'm proud to say complained about me for not believing Princess Pinocchio.... We did a clarification the next day and it made no difference. The complaints kept coming in and eventually my bosses said, 'You can you just apologize to Megan Markle or you're going to have to, you know, maybe lose your job.' I went, 'I'll take the job option. Thanks. I'll leave.' And I walked off into the sunset," Piers Morgan recalled.
Meghan Markle recently made headlines after Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner removed the photos from their Instagram in which they posed with her.
