Online streamer Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., also known as DDG, seems to have an opinion about himself. On December 29, the X account ‘@clippedszn’ posted photos of four streamers: Kai Cenat, Adin Ross, FaZe Banks, and Darryl. The post was captioned:“Out of these four, who is the most HATED in the streaming world?”Darryl reshared the post on X and wrote:“Me by a landslide.”Social media users posted their reactions to Darryl’s comment. I f*ck with you tho bro real sh****tt.”DDG talks about developing a thick skin and paying no heed to hatersIn May 2025, DDG sat down with Jay Hill on the latter’s podcast. Speaking about the misconceptions about him, Darryl said that, contrary to what’s spread around, he considered himself a great person. He cared for people, and that’s why he felt blessed. However, over time, he developed a thick skin. Despite that, when he caught himself scrolling too much, he would stop himself. When Hill asked if he still tried to win people who had negative opinions about him, Darryl said:“I used to. I ain't gonna lie. I used to, but like now I really don't care that much to be honest. Like I care about the people that rock with me. And ever since I start thinking that way, everything been going way better for me.”However, DDG claimed:“Like before I used to let it get to me before cause I used to be so loved, bro. Like I didn't used to get hated on at all. Like it used to be like DDG this and that. This my favorite YouTuber did blah blah blah blah blah. Everything was cool. But then like as I became bigger and bigger as a public figure, that's when it start like changing and people just I start noticing I get more and more hate.”DDG acknowledged that getting hate was a part of the process. He said that when one gets more haters, it indicates that they are progressing in life. Darryl said he was blessed in his life and didn’t care what people said about him.
