Prosecutors in the Sean “Diddy” Combs case are facing a significant setback. A key witness in the high-profile case has gone missing and may not testify.
A report in the New York Post indicated that federal prosecutors revealed during jury selection that they were unable to establish contact with Victim-3 and her attorney.
She is reportedly the central accuser in the case and had planned to reveal “very personal and explosive details” about the abuse. The reports further stated that the woman also intended to use her real name instead of her pseudonym during her testimony.

“We do not know whether she intends to appear, and we are trying very hard to find out because we are having trouble communicating with her counsel,” prosecutor Maurene Comey told on May 8, 2025.
Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, is part of the team for the U.S. Attorney's Office. She was also part of the prosecution team that convicted Ghislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s associate. According to the New York Post, she informed the court that the witness “does not live locally” and might not appear even if a subpoena is issued.
Are there other victims who are to testify in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ case besides Victim 3?
Yes, there are other victims besides Victim 3 who are expected to testify in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ case.

Cassie Ventura, Diddy’s former girlfriend, has agreed to testify in his upcoming s*x trafficking trial using her name. The 38-year-old is identified as Victim 1 in the ongoing case. According to a report in People magazine, the court filing stated:
"She [Ventura] is prepared to testify under her own name. Victim-2, Victim-3, and Victim-4 have asked that their identities not be revealed to the press or the public." The prosecutors requested that the other victims to be "be referred to at trial using only pseudonyms.”
The prosecutors added:
"This case has already received an exceptional amount of media coverage, which will presumably only increase as trial proceeds.”
“Permitting these measures will prevent unnecessary public disclosure of the victims’ identities, and the harassment from the media and others, undue embarrassment, and other adverse consequences that would almost certainly follow if these women were forced to reveal their true names publicly at trial.”
According to a report in the New York Post, Victim 3 was set to tell the court how Diddy, whose real name is Sean John Combs, had "coerced her into s*xual acts" and how she was "s*xually exploited" by him.
Combs was charged in a five-count indictment of s*x trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution. According to the prosecutors, Combs allegedly used his business empire as a criminal enterprise to facilitate these crimes over a period spanning from 2004 to 2024. He has reportedly pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
