Ray J denies pointing a gun at Princess Love, says he feared unauthorized entry

Ray J has denied pointing a gun at his estranged wife, Princess Love, during a recent incident at his home. The singer says he was scared when members of Love’s family came onto his property and tried to take his children while he believed they were intoxicated. He says he was protecting his kids and did not plan to harm anyone.

The incident happened during a livestream at Ray J’s house. According to him, Princess Love’s cousin and her husband showed up and entered areas of the house he considers private. Ray J says this made him uncomfortable because his children were nearby. He says he felt the situation was unsafe.

Police were later called to the scene. Ray J was arrested and charged with making a criminal threat. He was released after posting $50,000 bail. Since then, both Ray J and Princess Love have shared different versions of what happened.

Ray J said he was protecting his children

Ray reportedly told TMZ that the relatives were earlier invited to assist in preparing the Thanksgiving dinner. But he states that this changed when they entered his personal bedroom. According to him, he did not feel secure with individuals he did not approve of around his children. Princess Love was not residing in the same place at that time.

In one of his livestreams, Ray informed his audience that nobody would get his children when they were drunk. He confessed that later, he was holding a gun in his bedroom. However, he disagrees with the accusation of aiming it at anybody. He claims that he did not wish to shoot anyone and that the people were just supposed to get out of his house.

Ray asserts that Princess Love took their daughter, Melody, when the two of them were fighting. He also claims that her cousin had gone to take his son. Ray J claims that the husband of the cousin pushed him during the altercation. He said that some 20 policemen came in later with guns drawn. He says the police reaction terrified and traumatized his children.

Conflicting accounts and legal trouble

TMZ states that Ray has been accused of making a criminal threat. The charge is connected with the words he said in the livestream and confrontation. Although Ray J claimed that he did not point the gun, the livestream video depicts him seemingly loading the gun. The video also includes audio in which threats are made against the husband of the cousin.

In the video, Ray can be heard yelling, “I’ll shoot the f*** out of you,” and “I’ll kill you.” He also said, “Get out of my house before I shoot you right now.”

These statements played a role in the police response and the criminal charge. Ray claims that he said them out of fear and that he never intended to follow through with it.

Since the incident, Princess Love has voiced her opposition to Ray. She claimed that he was very drunk. She further alleged that during the last time the children were with him, they discovered him in bed with another woman and that he was naked.
