Sean “Diddy” Combs is on trial in New York. He is accused of s*x trafficking and racketeering. The trial is now at a point where jurors hear more proof about “hotel nights” and escorts. One of the key pieces involves Jane, his ex-girlfriend, who dated him from 2021 to 2024. As per the reports by TMZ, in court, jurors heard audio messages and saw texts and payment records. These show Diddy sending $15,000 to Jane, among other things.
As per the reports by Independent Co, prosecutors say Diddy paid large sums of money, asked for escorts, and directed Jane to host them. They also say this happened across many cities, including Los Angeles and Miami. Defense lawyers say all meetings were consensual and part of a lifestyle the couple agreed on. Diddy has pleaded not guilty.
Audio and text messages played during Diddy's trial
The reports by Lad Bible stated that on the witness stand, Special Agent Joseph Cerciello played an audio message Combs sent to Jane. In that message, Combs asks if he should “book debauchery for 9 o’clock.” Jane replied, “yea, it’s a thumbs up.” Then, Combs sent another audio, saying, “Sent you $15,000 baby girl.” This was part of the evidence from January 2023 in Los Angeles.
The jury also saw texts from Jane. She asked Combs for money for clothes after she said yes. In the same chain, Combs allegedly gave $15,000. The court also heard that Jane paid $1,100 to an escort service called Cowboys for Angels via Cash App. She sent proof of the payment to Diddy.

The reports by Independent Co stated that agents explained how escorts were listed in flight and hotel records. Jane arranged travel with Combs’s help. One escort named “Sly” flew from Atlanta to New York after Jane spoke with him. Combs’s staff booked flights and hotel rooms. Diddy sometimes messaged staff asking for escort details and baby oil.
What the jury saw: travel, payments, and supplies
As per AP News, special agent Cerciello made charts. They show Combs paid for at least three escorts, flights, and hotel stays in Los Angeles in early 2023. Records also include rentals of rooms and bottles of baby oil. The jury saw invoices for hotels. They matched the dates when Jane and her escorts stayed for “hotel nights.” Some payments were more than $7,000. Agents also showed travel schedules indicating the escorts’ presence.
Reports by The Washington Post also stated that Diddy sent text messages to his team. He reportedly asked staff to arrange “wild king nights”, supply baby oil, and restock condoms or lube. One staff member confirmed baby oil was delivered before a scheduled night. In court, agents read aloud messages between Combs and escorts, showing examples of how the events were planned. These messages show he said things like: “Stop raising my rate, I am a long timer,” when negotiating with the escort staff.
Why do the payments matter?
As per the reports by Reuters, prosecutors argue that the money proves Diddy controlled the events. The $15,000 payment to Jane is seen as a reward for her cooperation. The smaller payment to the escort service shows how Combs funded others involved. Agents explained that the money for escorts came from Combs’s company accounts or cash borrowed from staff. They said many payments were made by Cash App, a mobile app, and confirmed later in the records.
The reports by Independent Co also stated that Jane herself provided information through messages and bank transfers. She testified she felt like she needed to go so payments would continue. She said Combs paid her rent of $10,000 a month from April 2023 under what she called a “love contract”.

What happens next?
The reports by The Washington Post explained that after Cerciello gives more details today, prosecutors plan to rest their case. Defense lawyers say they won’t call any witnesses. They will argue that these gifts and meetings were part of an agreed lifestyle between two adults.
Closing arguments are set for Thursday. The jury will likely begin discussing the verdict on Friday. The outcome will hinge on whether jurors see Diddy as orchestrating trafficking or simply funding a lifestyle choice. Jane’s words, audio messages, and payment records are now central to that decision. The trial continues in Manhattan.
