Candace Owens has once again sparked online controversy. A recent viral podcast clip featuring Owens is gaining notable traction on social media, which has led to criticism from netizens. Many are accusing Candace Owens of disrespecting the widow of the killed conservative influencer, Charlie Kirk.

The backlash is growing as the clip is being shared across TikTok, X, and Instagram by multiple users. In the viral podcast clip, Candace Owens was heard claiming:

"It's that young experience. I am going to miss Charlie going on dates and the girl that he liked and me always being the wing woman and him asking. This text message is my, one of my favorite text messages between me and Charlie when he was getting ready to go on a date and you know, he did not date many people and he was just kind of in love with this girl."

She continued:

"And he was asking me, should I wear this? And this is the text message. It's so sweet. he said, do I have to change this shirt? And I wrote back, yes, and throw it away if you can, Charlie. And he writes, ah, okay."

Netizens reacted to Candace Owens' latest Charlie Kirk revelation, saying:

"Just look at her smile, she knows what she is doing and she enjoys every second of it. She is evil, no question about that"

Internet reactions to Candace Owens commenting on Charlie Kirk's past relationships in the latest podcast

Bren took his verified X (formerly Twitter) account to share the viral podcast clip featuring Candace Owens, captioning:

"How is this remotely appropriate? This is a catty, mean-girl, passive-aggressive jab designed to hurt Erika. Let me get this straight: 1. Erika’s husband is murdered. 2. Candace claims she “loves” Erika. 3. And her way of showing that love is . . . telling millions of people that Erika’s dead husband used to be in love with someone else? Anyone with a functioning brain stem can see the motive here: Candace wanted Erika to hear this. Evil. She wanted to twist the knife by dragging out old girlfriends after the man’s death. It was a calculated attack, dressed up as a “story.” It’s the behavior of someone who'd happily play the home-wrecker if given the chance."

Netizens were notably quick to weigh in on the comment section of the X post as they penned their opinions on the news. Below are some of their reactions:

"What shocks me is how everyone can’t see through her deep betrayal of Charlie, respect, and honour.", stated an X user.
"She looked pleased to bring it up. Mentioning a married man’s past dating history while his wife is grieving felt smug, calculated, and vindictive…and leaving out the timestamp made it even more suspicious. Did anyone else catch her slip when she almost said “after Tucker’s death”? That was… strange.", penned another.
"Why do people take her side? There is so much evidence that begs the question... She got kicked out of Romania for suspected child trafficking... thats factual and widely available information. That alone is enough to raise an eyebrow. Not to mention her odd attitude toward grief. Its bizzare and even you know that... Just saying its ain't adding up to innocence or she.would have sued her already.", commented a third.

Others also chimed in:

"This is just gut feeling, but I think Candace Owens fell in love with Charlie & he didn’t love her that way. He fell in love with someone else named Erika. The love of his life. He also then pushed her out of TP USA because she was getting erratic. And she is very very bitter.", wrote a netizen.
"This text message could be about something else but Candace Owens will lie and say it was about him going on a date with a woman he was “in love with” simply to take a jab at Erika. She is notorious for taking innocent messages and spinning them to fit her narrative. I don’t believe anything she says", added another.
"I am beginning to question Candace Owens' involvement. She clearly was obsessively in love with him", commented a third.

Charlie Kirk was fatally shot on September 10, 2025, while speaking at Utah Valley University during a "Prove Me Wrong" debate event. Police later identified the suspected shooter as 22-year-old Tyler Robinson.

After Kirk's death, his wife, Erika, was appointed CEO of Turning Point USA. She is now responsible for leading the organization.
