Streamer FanFan, whose real name is Fiona Fan, is sharing the aftermath of Emiru’s alleged assault incident at TwitchCon.

During a recent stream, a clip of which was posted by the X account @BestfriendKick, she said that after the incident, Twitch officials told her that they would need to assign security to her all the time. She said:

“After the whole Emiru thing, Twitch was like, ‘We have to assign security for you all day and I was like, ‘What?’ So, yesterday I got a personal security guy and I was like, ‘Hey, like you don’t have to stay with me.’ Isn’t that good? I don’t want one. I don’t want security.”

FanFan went on to say:

“If I wanted security, I would have hired security myself. I don’t want security.”

FanFan said she did not think she would face a situation like Emiru. Even if something like that happened, she said she could handle the situation by herself. Despite that, she said nobody can anticipate such a situation, although it has happened to her before. Nevertheless, she is not in favor of having security around her. She felt the choice of having or not having security was her decision to make. She said:

“I don’t know how you guys are arguing against me. I mean obviously all it takes is one weirdo but I would honestly rather deal with a weirdo than have security on me the whole day.”

She compared the situation to having a stream forcefully with a friend, even if she didn’t want to. FanFan said:

“Like if I am gonna stream, I wanna stream either by myself or with who I want to stream with.”

What did FanFan tell her Twitch partner manager about the security presence?

FanFan mentioned that she had a pepper spray and a r*pe whistle with her. Responding to someone, she said the security guard had to go off campus with her. Mentioning an instance, she said she went to her hotel, but her security guard had to stay in the lobby. She said if she had to go somewhere, the security guard must also accompany her. She said:

“I told my Twitch partner manager, ‘Listen, I know you guys are trying to help and I know the whole Emmy thing happened but like don’t force this on me, you know? Okay, I get you guys kind of have to, like you are trying to cover you’re a**es, no offence, probably shouldn’t be saying this with the Twitch rivals thing, right on my screen, but you know what I mean.”

FanFan felt the Twitch officials were going a little overboard with the security presence. She said she did not even ask for it. She said she was asked before she arrived if she needed an escort or if she wanted someone to watch over her during the events, but she refused to have any such personnel with her.

Agreeing to a fan's comment, she said this was a part of PR. Despite that, she said she strictly told them not to have any security assigned for her. If that happens, she said she might get mad at them.
