"There was nothing weird going on": Lala Baptiste denies cheating allegations with DDG amid ongoing Halle Bailey legal battle 

The public drama between Halle Bailey and rapper DDG continues to gain attention. This time, it involves the social media personality Lala Baptiste. She was accused of having a sexual relationship with DDG during his relationship with Bailey. These claims were linked to a group vacation in Mexico.

In leaked text messages, Halle Bailey accused DDG of cheating on her with Lala during that trip. The messages have sparked rumors and divided fans. But now, Lala has come forward to deny the claims. She says there was no inappropriate behavior between her and DDG.

Lala recently posted a video to clear her name. She said:

Lala explained that the cheating rumors started after a group trip. She said the trip was for someone’s birthday and included many friends, not just her and DDG.

“These accusations in general is stemming from a group trip that our whole friend group went on,” Lala said. “And everyone on this trip can confirm there was nothing weird going on. I wasn’t even staying near them. It was for someone’s birthday. Let’s start there.”

Lala made it clear that it was not a private vacation or anything secret. She said there were no late-night meetups or anything romantic. She said anyone who was there could confirm this. According to her, it was a simple trip with friends and nothing more.

What Was Lala’s Relationship with DDG?

Lala said that her relationship with DDG started as a work connection. He helped her launch her YouTube channel. Over time, they became friends. But she says they were never more than that.

“Me and Daryl’s relationship has always been strictly… started off as business. Obviously, if you know, you know. Like, he put me onto YouTube. Started off there, grew into a friendship, has always remained platonic,” Lala shared.

She also said it is unfair that people assume something happened just because they were seen together. Lala believes that people often assume women and men can’t be just friends, which she disagrees with, and said:

“It’s genuinely possible to actually have a platonic friendship with a guy. Like, it’s possible.”

Did Lala and Halle Bailey speak about the situation?

Lala said that she and Halle Bailey did have a private conversation. She did not share the details but said that it was respectful and not public. She also said she understood why Halle felt suspicious at the time.

“Halle saw that I was there, saw that I was on this trip with him. And of course, she had every right to jump to conclusions at that point, because I would have done the same thing,” Lala said. “Like, I’m a girl. I know how it is.”

She also said that she won’t reveal what was discussed between her and Halle.

“We had a private conversation. I’m not gonna disclose details, because that’s between me and her. And out of respect, it’s not my place to disclose that information.”

Lala Baptiste has denied all rumors of cheating with DDG. She says nothing romantic happened between them during the Mexico trip or at any time. She also explained that her relationship with DDG was based on work and friendship only.
