According to the Austin American-Statesman, the streamer was one among many who were carrying and "shooting paintball guns" as part of the Scavenger hunt organised by Kick streamer Ice Poseidon on August 9.
For those unversed, Ice Poseidon reportedly launched the scavenger hut challenge, with the winning prize as $30,000! Per news reports, Xena the Witch and other streamers took part in the hunt.
X user Yeet (@Awk20000) took to their X channel to share a clip of Amaris being arrested by the police and taken in a van. Onlookers can be heard defending the streamer in the background and noting that she didn't do "anything".
Xena The Witch arrested on Kick livestream after paintball incident
Self-proclaimed witch and controversial streamer Amaris was reportedly arrested by the police after the viral "paintball incident." In multiple videos circulating online, Xena and other live streamers have come under fire for allegedly shooting paintballs at strangers and bystanders on the "Ann and Roy Butler Hike and Bike Trail."
According to the Austin American-Statesman, Xena the Witch reportedly expressed no remorse after hitting a woman on her thigh with the paintball gun. After another streamer points out that she shot at a "real worker", Xena the Witch can be heard saying in the video shared by @therandomgamerdude,
"I don't give a f***."
Amaris has reportedly come under fire previously in 2024 after she reportedly held a South Korean streamer on a livestream and engaged in "violence". The streamer was notably banned from Kick for three days.
Austin American-Statesman and other viewers raised questions about the use of paintball guns and the safety of individuals in public parks and trails. While some followers defended the streamer, many hurled criticism for not showing remorse after shooting a stranger. It is unclear what happened after the streamer's arrest or if she will face any other ban by the streaming channel.
