The public and ongoing feud between billionaires Elon Musk and Bill Gates has taken a new turn. In a conversation with the Financial Times earlier this month, Gates hurled criticism at Musk after the latter's decision to reportedly shut down "the US Agency for International Development." He added,

“The picture of the world’s richest man killing the world’s poorest children is not a pretty one."

Elon Musk reportedly made a snarky remark during his appearance at the Qatar Economic Forum on May 20, 2025. After journalist Mishal Hussain posed the question to Musk about USAID, he denied the claims and called Gates a "huge liar." He added,

“Who does Bill Gates think he is to make comments about the welfare of children, given that he was very close with Jeffrey Epstein. I wouldn't want that guy to babysit my kid."

For those unaware, Gates had previously opened up about his relationship with Epstein (a convicted s*x offender) and had expressed "regret" about his choices at the time.

Podcaster Russell Brand praises Elon Musk for clapping back at Gates with "friends with Jeffrey Epstein" comment

Elon Musk clapped back at Bill Gates after the latter alleged that he would be endangering the lives of millions after USAID were shut down. Musk made a spiteful remark against Gates and brought up his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. His comments reportedly went viral, and podcasters, including Russell Brand, have reacted to them. The comedian turned podcaster and MAGA supporter took to his X channel to share Elon Musk's clip on May 30. Brand added,

"That's f**king brilliant."

He went on to ramble about the remark and praised Musk for clapping back at Bill Gates. He implied that even though the interviewer defended Gates and noted that he expressed "regret", it doesn't change that he was associated with Epstein.

Russell's video comes a few weeks after he was charged with five counts of "r*pe and s*xual assault" based on allegations by four women, per BBC. More recently, Russell pleaded not guilty to the charges and his trial is scheduled to start on June 3, 2025.

Bill Gates and Elon Musk's ongoing public feud has taken a new turn following the latter's decision to shut down USAID. According to the news outlet, Reuters, the Department of Government Agency (DOGE) led by Musk is set to shut USAID for good and will allegedly fire all employees by September 25. Following Musk's remarks, podcaster Russell Brand took to his channel to laugh and appreciate Musk's responses at the Qatar Economic Forum.
