The Royal Family celebrated the annual celebration by displaying a united and proud front, along with "over 1,000 soldiers," "200 horses," and "300 musicians." According to the Express UK, certain changes were made some time before the event, as per the King's instructions. King Charles III and soldiers paid homage to the victims of the Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad, India, on June 12, as,
"a mark of respect for the lives lost, the families in mourning and all the communities affected by this awful tragedy."
The royal family observed a moment of silence for the lives lost and wore black bands on their shoulders. The Royal Family continued the annual ritual of standing on the balcony to witness "the RAF flypast." According to the BBC, this year's RAF flypast was made sustainable by using "eco-friendly fuel."
Kate Middleton and her daughter, Princess Charlotte, were all smiles and coordinated their dresses in shades of aqua blue, per People magazine. While many attendees chanted and expressed their excitement, glimpses of anti-monarch protestors were also circulated on the internet.
Additionally, David Beckham, actor Gary Oldman, and Roger Dalterly were reportedly knighted by the King. According to CBS News, Beckham accepted the honor and noted,
"Growing up in east London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British, I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honor."
The 2025 Trooping the Color wrapped up with smiles from the royal family. The family bid adieu to the attendees until the parade next year.
