Esports athlete Naphat Warasin, also known as Tokyogurl, was disqualified from the 2025 Thailand Southeast Asia Games (SEA). The reason for her disqualification was that she used a certain software on her device that allowed a third person to participate and play on her behalf on December 15. According to Dexerto, the cheating happened during a live match. At the time, Tokyogurl’s team was already losing. Per an official letter signed by Esports Technical Delegate Joebert Lopez Yu:“To whom it may concern, This is to inform you of the decision made during the Arena of Valor Women's Team Match between Team Thailand and Team Vietnam in the Winner's Final of the Esports Competition at the 33rd SEA Games on December 15, 2025.”The statement continued:“A Thai athlete, WARASIN NAPHAT, committed an offence under Item 9.4.3 of the Esports Technical Handbook by using unauthorized third-party software or hardware modification during Game 1 of the match. After further investigation, conclusive evidence was found, which led to the imposition of a Personal Penalty resulting in her Expulsion from the entirety of the Esports Competition at the 33rd SEA Games. The decision is final.”A report by Naewna mentioned that one of Tokyogurl’s teammates, Givemeakiss, shared their feelings about the incident on Facebook. As seen in a translated version of her statement, she wrote:“I'm speechless with sadness. We've all worked so hard for this, for the same dream and goal. I’ll do my best.”According to a report by Morning News, the coach was seemingly upset with what happened. The coach said that she had been working extremely hard for the match. She said (translated):“From the beginning of the year, it’s like that for almost the entire year. We have been practising for 10 hours every day and when we encountered something like this, it was like the world collapsed when I found it. At first, when my team and I found it, we were really sad. Then, my knees went weak and all I could do was I apologised to the team and blamed myself.”The coach said that she should have been more careful. She said participating in the SEA Games was like a dream. She had waited for it for a long time. Also Read: Why was Bwipo suspended?
