On August 6, 2025, a Korean media outlet, Dispatch, reported that As One's Lee Min had passed away. As per reports As One's Lee Min died on August 5. News of the female idol’s sudden death came to light after she was discovered dead at her residence.
Lee Min was a member of the female R&B duo, As One, which made its debut in 1999. The 46-year-old idol was born in 1978. As One’s Lee Min was Korean-American, and she stepped into her music career with As One’s first album, “Day By Day. Crystal is the other member of the group.
The pair gained recognition for their refined pop-influenced vocal technique and seamless harmonies, with singles including Only You Don’t Know, Day By Day, and Want and Resent. They maintained a hectic performance schedule, dropping their newest track, Happy Birthday to You in June of this year.

As per an industry insider, the female idol was active until recently. Besides releasing her song Happy Birthday to You, As One’s Lee Min made an appearance recently on a KBS show, Park Bogum’s Cantabile.
According to reports, As One's Lee Min’s acquaintance talked about her following her death:
“She was such a positive friend. It’s hard to believe this has happened as she was having so much fun promoting after such a long time.”
Lee Min was juggling her careers as a vocalist and an educator. The acquaintance went on to say:
“I met her last week. She was truly a dedicated friend.”
As of the time of this writing, the cause of Lee Min’s death hasn’t been confirmed by the police agency.
