Emiru was defended by other streamers and her fans, who called for increased security measures at such events.

She has been successful online since she was in high school. She belongs to the gaming group One True King (OTK) and is a co-host of podcasts with other streamers. She has been harassed both during her physical appearances and online, raising concerns about the safety of public figures online.

The TwitchCon 2025 Incident

She was assaulted by a male fan during a meet-and-greet at TwitchCon San Diego 2025. When she was on stage, he reportedly tried to kiss her neck without her consent. Emiru was taken backstage for security reasons, and the man was removed from the scene by security.

The event was recorded and shared on platforms such as X and Reddit. The online community expressed anger and shock over what occurred. TwitchCon's security response was criticized by many, who argued that it took too long to react. Others demanded greater safety precautions for content creators at public fan events.

This was not the first time she had been harassed. She, Valkyrae, and Cinna were among the streamers who were threatened by a man in 2025. They were live streaming from Santa Monica Pier when the suspect followed them and threatened them, prompting a police investigation. These incidents have raised awareness of the challenges in ensuring the safety of female streamers.
