Sara Foster and Stephanie Shojaee were recent guests on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen. The actor/producer talked about many things during her second WWHL appearance, including her relationship with former stepsisters, Gigi and Bella Hadid.
For the unversed, Sara is the daughter of 16-time Grammy-winning musician and record producer, David Foster. He was married to Sara’s mother, Rebecca Dyer, between 1982 and 1986, and later tied the knot with Hadid sisters’ mother, Yolanda. Thus, David Foster was the stepfather to Gigi, Bella, and Anwar.
Eventually, the Canadian composer/arranger separated from Yolanda Hadid in 2015, and their divorce was finalized in 2017. Sara Foster was related to Bella and Gigi through their parents’ marriage, but it ended almost a decade ago. During a recent episode of WWHL, the Barely Famous star spoke about her former stepsisters. Sara Foster said,
“I love those girls. I just saw Gigi, like last month.”
When Andy asked her whether Dad had any contact with Yolanda Hadid, she replied,
“You know, he doesn’t say. Who knows if they exchange [texts], you know, like pleasantries, emoji… I don’t know, but I mean he, like, actively raised those girls. So, there’s still a lot of love there, and with us too.”
David Foster has been married five times and fathered six children, including Sara and her two siblings, Erin and Jordan. He married his first wife, BJ Cook, in 1972, but they divorced in 1981. After his marriage to Rebecca also ended within four years, David married Linda Thompson. They were together for 14 years and officially parted ways in 2005.
As mentioned, David Foster’s fourth marriage to Yolanda Hadid also ended in a divorce. He eventually tied the knot with his current wife, Katharine McPhee, in 2019. David and Katharine share a son, who was born in 2021.
Sara Foster answered some RHOM questions and suggested Stephanie Shojaee
During her conversation with Andy Cohen on WWHL, the Nobody Wants This executive producer gave her opinion on some questions around The Real Housewives of Miami. The host started by asking about her thoughts on Alexia and Todd's relationship. Sara Foster replied,
“I never… I didn't like how Todd treated Frankie and Peter. I, from the very beginning… Like I'm very sensitive about those sorts of dynamics, and from the very beginning, I saw red flags.”
The RHOM cast member, Alexia, had initially parted ways with her ex-husband, Todd Nepola, in April 2024, before they amicably finalized their divorce in March this year. Sara then gave her opinion on Larsa Pippen asking Hochstein to unfollow Marcus, whom she once described as “someone that’s hurting me.” Sara Foster said,
“Honestly, I don't think it's that big of a deal. I think if you're a couple that is like on and off and then you're going to be back on and then...”
Andy pointed out that it bothered Larsa, who was supposedly friends with Lisa. Sara Foster replied,
“I guess, if it bothered [her], but then… I think she made such a meal out of the whole ‘the Jody [Glidden] going to the thing,’ like she can't control the boyfriend. “
Sara then chose Julia when asked to pick between her and Gertie. Foster also felt that Larsa was more at fault for the drama in her friendship with Lisa. Ultimately, Andy Cohen asked her to advise Stephanie, who is a newbie on RHOM. Sara Foster asked her fellow guest to “stay true” to herself.
