Voddie Baucham was an American pastor, author, and educator. He was 56 years old when he passed. Baucham was working as the Dean of Theology at African Christian University, located in Lusaka, Zambia, for 9 years. In addition to being a Dean, he was also the founder of a Reformed Baptist group known as Founders Ministries. Before it was called Founders Ministries, it was originally named the Southern Baptist Founders Conference.
Baucham has a B.A. from Houston Baptist University and then proceeded to attain an M.Div. from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as a D.Min. from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. After all his studying, he founded Voddie Baucham Ministries in 1993.
Baucham was widely known for his teachings regarding cultural apologetics, biblical manhood, and family discipleship. He has also written eight books in total. One of his books, Fault Lines: The Social Justice Movement and Evangelicalism's Looming Catastrophe, became a bestseller.
Three years ago, Baucham said he was asked to run for president of the Southern Baptist Convention but was not sure if he was eligible as a missionary abroad. He returned from Zambia to the US last year and was named as one of the founding members of Founders Ministries.

Additionally, the Economic Times reported that Baucham underwent treatment for heart failure in 2021 at Mayo Clinic Florida. This prompted his fellow Christian believers to launch prayers and financial aid for him worldwide.

"We are saddened to inform friends that our dear brother, Voddie Baucham, Jr., has left the land of the dying and entered the land of the living. Earlier today, after suffering an emergency medical incident, he entered into his rest and the immediate presence of the Savior whom he loved, trusted, and served since he was converted as a college student. Please pray for Bridget, their children, and grandchildren."
They concluded with a verse from the Bible, which reads:
"Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. – Psalm 116:15"
