“While I normally keep my personal life private, this past year, my children’s father has been ill and at this moment, I need to be fully present for them. I am sincerely sorry to everyone who bought tickets to the shows and I so appreciate your grace, kindness and understanding.”

Clarkson and Blackstock were married for seven years. They share two children: daughter River, 10, and son Remington, 8. Though they finalized their divorce in 2022, they continue to co-parent. This latest update from Clarkson has brought renewed attention to the challenges they face as a family.

According to People on August 6, 2025, Clarkson was in the middle of her “Chemistry: An Intimate Night with Kelly Clarkson” Studio Sessions in Las Vegas. The residency was hosted in Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino and was slated to span till the end of August.

Fans who have already bought tickets to the rest of the shows are thus required to wait to see the time when the rest of the shows will be rescheduled due to the abrupt stop.
