Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson were once one of the most famous couples in the late 90s and early 2000s. Nick shared that Newlyweds was not intended to be a huge hit. At first, they only wanted to do a few episodes to promote their music albums, as they were both singers. But the show exploded in popularity, running for three seasons until March 2005, and brought out the personal moments of their lives that they were not ready to share with the world.

Nick also talked about how it felt having cameras around all the time. He said it was hard at first, but later he and Jessica became used to it. However, the attention made their personal problems more public and harder to deal with.

Both Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson were young and famous singers when they married. They thought the show would help their careers. In the Richer Lives interview, Nick made it clear that he had no hard feelings about the time he spent with Jessica, confessing that he learned a lot from the experience. It taught him to be more comfortable with being himself in front of people, and not posing just as a member of a boy band.

Nick and Vanessa now co-host Netflix’s Love Is Blind, which is also a dating reality show. Nick stated that he enjoys seeing people fall in love in a more organic way. He said it’s interesting because the couples on the show don’t see each other at first, so he thinks of it as all about real connections.
