It covers his journey from becoming one of the biggest names in the industry to becoming a convict on prostitution charges. The documentary was not received well by Sean Combs. Diddy's representative released a statement slamming the documentary."Netflix’s so-called ‘documentary’ is a shameful hit piece. Today’s GMA teaser confirms that Netflix relied on stolen footage that was never authorized for release. As Netflix and CEO Ted Sarandos know, Mr. Combs has been amassing footage since he was 19 to tell his own story, in his own way. It is fundamentally unfair, and illegal, for Netflix to misappropriate that work. Netflix is plainly desperate to sensationalize every minute of Mr. Combs’s life, without regard for truth, in order to capitalize on a never-ending media frenzy," the statement read.50 Cent often takes shots at Sean Combs in his social media posts. Prior to Diddy's sentencing, he even wrote a letter to the judge and urged him to impose a strict punishment. Also read: "Shows you his character": 50 Cent takes swipe at Diddy after docuseries clip shows the rapper saying he needs a "bath" after meeting fans
