Cassie Ventura, a key witness in Sean Diddy Combs's trial, is reportedly in the labour unit for the delivery of her third baby, TMZ reports. Cassie Ventura, who dated the controversial hip-hop executive from 2007 to 2018, showed up at the court while she was pregnant and shared harrowing details of her time as Diddy’s girlfriend.

The Me & U hitmaker, according to TMZ sources, was rushed to a hospital in New York on May 27, 2025. Sean Diddy Combs is being sued for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. He has repeatedly entered a “Not Guilty” plea.

A summary of Cassie Ventura's testimony at Diddy’s trial

On May 13, 2025, Cassie Ventura, whose civil suit was the catalyst that spearheaded several other cases against the music mogul, took the stand to testify as a star witness.

Ventura, who was signed to Bad Boy Records, revealed that she recorded “hundreds of songs” during her time as a Bad Boy Records signee but never got to release them. She added that Diddy psychologically abused her, as he always wanted her to be engaged in doing something.

On May 14, 2025, Ventura was called back to the stand, where she alleged that Combs had raped her in 2018. The singer narrated how she and Combs went out for dinner to discuss their breakup, as they weren’t dating then.

She added that Combs followed her home and raped her on her living room floor. The 38-year-old also had shared stories of how the embattled music mogul stomped on her and left her bruised.

On May 15, Cassie returned to be cross-examined by the defence, and the attorney showed the witness a text message that seemed to infer that Cassie also enjoyed the “freak off” sessions. One text message allegedly read:

“I love our (Freak Offs) when we both want it."

Cassie also mentioned that Combs was seeing a lady named Gina while they were still dating in 2014 and that the music executive and she both abused drugs.

On May 17, 2025, Cassie made her last appearance as a witness. The defence suggested that Ventura’s actions were financially motivated. The latter replied that she would gladly give away the 20 million dollars she got if it meant that she didn’t take part in the drug-fueled “freak-offs.”

Sean Diddy Combs’ trial will continue on May 28, 2025. The prosecution plans to call a Los Angeles Police Department officer, a Los Angeles Fire Department arson investigator, Deonte Nash, a stylist and an alleged victim, Mia—a pseudonym for a former employee of Combs.
