Sean “Diddy” Combs is currently facing a trial at Federal District Court in Lower Manhattan on charges of committing s*x trafficking and running racketeering enterprise, according to a report in The New York Times.
During her opening statements on May 12, 2025, Assistant US Attorney Emily Johnson alleged that Diddy ordered the performance of s*x acts and “called himself the king.” According to a report in Page Six, she said that his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura (then 19, now 38), first agreed to participate to “make him happy” but the romps allegedly became violent.

One of the most graphic allegations was that the 55-year-old rapper allegedly forced a male escort to urinate in Ventura’s mouth during one of their so-called "freak-off" parties, to feel like she was “choking.”
The prosecutor added that the rapper allegedly watched and recorded the encounters. Further, Daniel Phillip, a 41-year-old male escort, testified that he was allegedly paid to have s*xual encounters with Ventura in Diddys’ presence. Here is what we know.
All you need to know about Daniel Phillip’s testimony in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ case
During his testimony on May 12, 2025 in the ongoing trial of Sean “Diddy” Combs, Daniel Phillip, a male escort, provided gruesome details.
According to a report in Variety, Phillip, when questioned by lead prosecutor Maurene Comey, told the jury that he was paid thousands of dollars, reportedly between $700 and $6,000, to engage in s*xual encounters with Ventura, while Diddy watched, m*st*rb*ted and recorded. This reportedly took place between 2012 and 2014.

He further alleged that during one of the incidents, he witnessed him beating the then aspiring singer who was 19 years old at that time. He also told the jury that he was given the drug MDMA.
The report stated that he was first asked to join him when he was working as the manager of a male revue show in Manhattan around 2012. He told in his testimony that one night he was asked by his boss to go to Gramercy Park Hotel for a bachelorette party as none of the dancers were available.

He said that Ventura opened the door for him at the hotel and asked him if he was OK engaging with her. As per Phillip's testimony, she was dressed in provocative clothing and told him that her husband had arranged a special gift for her. After a s*xual encounter with Phillip, which Combs watched, she handed him a few dollars and asked him to leave.
The report added that he continued to engage in s*xual encounters with them at hotels across Manhattan and at each of their private residences. He further alleged that Combs tried to threaten him as he took photo of his driver’s license. He said that when he was offered MDMA, he felt “physically sick” and “nauseous” but also “euphoric.”
Speaking on witnessing Combs beating up Ventura, he said that at one point he saw Combs throw a glass bottle in Ventura’s direction. He then hit her and dragged her by hair into another room. When asked why he did not intervene or informed the police, he said that he feared for his life because of Combs’ celebrity status.
Ventura is expected to testify in the ongoing trial on May 13, 2025 against her former boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs.
