Tina Knowles, the mother of global music icon Beyoncé, has once again stepped forward to defend her daughter. She took to her official Instagram profile to share a detailed and personal message about her character.
In a lengthy post, the 71-year-old businesswoman talked about Beyoncé's career and her approach to life. The post was accompanied by a video from 1988. It showed a young Beyoncé thanking her parents after winning her first "People's Workshop Award." For Tina Knowles, that moment and her daughter's current tour in Houston seemingly represent a full-circle journey.
Tina Knowles' post gradually moved into a direct response to those who have publicly criticized Beyoncé. Without mentioning any names, Tina Knowles described her daughter as someone who has always kept her focus on hard work, personal growth, and respect for others.
Tina Knowles also noted that Beyoncé "never gossiped or put anybody else down to make herself feel better" and stated that the singer "does not mess with anybody" and "sticks close to her family."

Tina's Instagram post was accompanied by a lengthy caption. She wrote:
"This is bittersweet! The reenactment of her speech and twirl. Yes her career has come full circle from that moment, when she won her first "Peoples Workshop award" to her doing it on her sold out concert tour in Houston. She thanked her parents and Houston! As a Kid with big dreams, She made a commitment to work hard! Polish her craft,, take vocal lessons, dance lessons, sacrifice, focus , train, and mind her own damn business and does not mess with anybody."
Beyonce's mother continued as she detailed how the singer committed herself to training and discipline from an early age:
"She sticks close to her family. She never gossiped or put anybody else down, to make herself feel better. She never wasted her time on being jealous, she was taught very early on that her time and energy could be better used to focus on herself , to practice and perfect her craft. So she complimented others. and remained humble. She was inspired and respectful and paid homage to those great artists that came before her."
Tine Knowles also added:
"She gave back to her community. She has never used someone else’s name to get publicity or attention for herself. No one lives rent free in her head because she is obsessed with them or jealous of them. , She has also NEVER constantly , criticized others looks , talent, and character. Has never lied on , or started false rumors about others , has never started one sided beefs with anyone, to get her name on mainstream media outlets or be relevant or in the current news.
Tina Knowles concluded the post, stating:
"She chose to rely on her talent and hard work and her own name. But if she has helped you stay relevant or to get your name in the press . I am very happy she could help you. You’re welcome! Notably, it is unclear who exactly Tina Knowles was referring to in the post. However, it is not the first time she has defended her daughter publicly. Earlier this year, she appeared to respond to comments made by rapper Ye about Beyoncé and Jay-Z's children, writing:
"No weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper… God has got this."
The Instagram post comes shortly after the conclusion of Beyoncé's Cowboy Carter Tour, which wrapped up in July 2025.
