“She was a very important relationship to me in my life,” he said during the podcast.
“She is one of the most talented people I know,” he added.

“I did a bit for almost an entire season, where I would start to pitch the host on an idea. I was like, ‘Well, I know you’re in a movie with a plane, so that’s great, and I thought we could play pilots because, you know, when I was in 12 Years a Slave, what I found about the process that was most rewarding…’ and then I would go real indulgent.”
He added that it worked for a while until it didn't, and was asked by Bryan Tucker, SNL writer, to stop doing it. Taran left SNL in August 2016 after his contract with the series wasn't renewed.
After Killam left SNL, he played King George III in the Broadway musical Hamilton on January 17, 2017. He also featured in the 2024 ABC series, High Potential, where he played the recurring role of Ludo Radovic.
