Taylor Swift is all in supporting her fiancé, Travis Kelce.
The Wood singer made a public appearance at Arrowhead Stadium for a game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Detroit Lions that took place on October 12. However, the singer was not alone, as she was accompanied by Kelce's parents, Donna Kelce and Ed Kelce.
For the game, she wore a Chiefs t-shirt with golden hoops and chains, paired with her signature ponytail. In a few videos shared on social media, the singer was also seen chatting with basketball star Caitlin Clark.
While Swift was stealing the spotlight during her first public appearance at the Kansas City Chiefs’ season, fans couldn’t help but notice her engagement ring. The singer got engaged to Kelce in August, marking nearly two months of their engagement.
The game was won by the Kansas City Chiefs. This isn’t the first outing with Kelce’s parents for Taylor Swift. She was also seen dining with them on Mother’s Day earlier this year.
Donna and Ed Kelce talk about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift
Donna Kelce was recently seen attending the red carpet of The Kingdom docuseries by ESPN. Talking about Taylor Swift's appearance on Travis Kelce's New Heights podcast, when asked by People, she said:
"I did watch the podcast, and I think it was just really, really eventful. It was authentic. It was just something I think everybody was thrilled to see, and it was a very loving podcast."
Travis’s father, Ed, was asked by reporters about the source of Travis’s happiness, to which he said:
"Taylor. There's no question about it."
Speaking of the podcast, he said,
"It was good. It was awesome. It was great to see the back-and-forth of two people, obviously very much in love."
A day after Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl album release, Donna Kelce also wished Travis a happy birthday on Instagram, using Taylor’s recent song Opalite as the background music for her story.
Fans saw it as a sweet show of support, with Travis’s mother, Donna, celebrating her son’s birthday by featuring Taylor Swift’s new song, which is especially meaningful since Taylor and Travis are now engaged.
The song was inspired by Travis Kelce. Revealing the meaning behind it, Taylor told Capital FM radio:
"Opal can be man-made just like diamonds. And Travis’ birthstone is an opal. I’ve always fixated on that, [and] I’ve always loved that stone. I thought it was kind of a cool metaphor that happiness can also be man-made"
