"There is a deep, aching hole in my heart": Influencer Paul Kim's wife Maggie Kim shares heartbreaking tribute following 5-year-old son's death

Maggie Kim, the wife of popular American catholic influencer Paul Kim, has spoken up about the loss of her five-year-old child, Micah. The mother of six took to her official Instagram on Friday to share a carousel of Micah’s photos. She wrote a lenghty emotional caption.

“Micah, I miss you,” she began. “There is a deep, aching hole in my heart. Even though our home is filled with people, it's too quiet without you. I keep thinking I'll look outside and see you laughing on the swings. Or you'll slowly open my door and walk up to my bed and that I'll hear your sweet voice saying, ‘Mama?’ Oh, the pain is indescribable.”

She continued:

“And yet, you have shown us in multiple ways that you are with us. It's not the same joy as holding your hand or hearing your voice, but there is an unexplainable joy that only comes with knowing you are with Jesus. That you are in our true home. And that you are very, very happy. I can picture your smile that would light up the room. I can hear you laughing and screaming as you run with your arms out. I can see you dancing and spinning in circles. I know you are running into the arms of every Saint you meet with that big grin and saying, ‘Hi, I'm Micah.’ It's easy to picture these things because this is what you did when you were alive on.”

Adding:

“Please continue to visit me and help mama keep going. You were always such a good helper and eager to make me smile..And I will keep asking for your help. My boy. I am so proud of you.”

She concluded the emotional post:

“Keep swinging on the swings with Jesus, Micah. ‘Do whatever He tells you.’ John 2:5”

Paul Kim breaks the news of Micah’s passing

On Thursday, January 1, popular Christian influencer Paul Kim took to his official Instagram to announce that his five-year-old son Micah had passed. Micah passed days after he was rushed to the hospital after a medical emergency. He was placed on life support and was diagnosed with a severe case of influenza.

“I just want to give you guys an update on Micah. Yesterday, on December 31st, 2025, after fighting eleven long, hard days, Micah went home to the house of our father. We are so proud of him. We are so proud of him. And guys, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart as his dad, on behalf of my family, for all the ways you guys prayed and lifted us up during this time,” Paul Kim announced on Thursday.
