Jenna Ortega’s friendship with Sabrina Carpenter is well-known among fans. The two were spotted enjoying each other’s company at the Met Gala 2025. Carpenter also uploaded photos from the event on Instagram, where they were seen hanging out in a van and having a great time.

Ortega also added her photos from the Met and afterparties, featuring Sabrina and other celebrities. In the Hurry Up Tomorrow premiere press, when asked about how much trouble she and Sabrina Carpenter got into at the Met Gala, Ortega replied,

"Not much, honestly. I think we had the most fun in the vans, honestly."

Ortega further admired Sabrina by adding,

"She's a sweetie and so unbelievably funny it's crazy, so I was lucky. You know the Met Gala is a big event, so it's nice to find a buddy and a partner."

Fans loved seeing their friendship shine at the Met Gala, with many praising their fun and genuine bond.

Sabrina Carpenter collaborates with Jenna Ortega for the Taste music video

While both Sabrina and Jenna have previously worked at Disney Channel, with Sabrina involved in Girl Meets World and Jenna in Stuck in the Middle, their first official collaboration was the music video for Carpenter's song "Taste," released in 2024. The music video drew inspiration from the movie "Death Becomes Her."

In an episode of "The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon," Sabrina explained the reason for choosing Jenna Ortega by stating,

"It (music video) was inspired by one of my favorite films and she (Jenna) was a huge fan of the film. I’m so excited for you guys to see this video, you have no idea. I think it’s my favorite one I’ve ever done"

The Taste music video features Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega as rivals in a humorous, over-the-top horror story as they compete for a guy. The video includes weapons such as knives and chainsaws along with fake blood. In the end, they attend the guy’s funeral while reconciling, presenting a playful twist.

Many fans believe that the Taste music video could be about Sabrina Carpenter, Shawn Mendes, and Camila Cabello. Some think that Sabrina and Shawn’s rumored connection in early 2023 inspired the video. However, Sabrina has never confirmed these speculations.

When asked by Jenna Ortega about her experience filming the video, she said,

"So much fun. I mean, Sabrina is like such an unbelievable singer and artist, and I'm so, so proud and happy for her. I've known her since I was young, and she was always so kind and generous to me. And we just had so much fun shooting that video."

Fans can also look forward to seeing Jenna Ortega in her upcoming movie "Hurry Up Tomorrow," starring Barry Keoghan and The Weeknd. She will also return in "Wednesday" season two, set to release in August.
