Curtis James Jacksoln III, also known as 50 Cent, has a total net worth of $60 million as of 2025. According to Celebrity Net Worth, before the rapper had to file for bankruptcy in 2011, his total net worth peaked at a whopping $100 million. He is one of the few rappers to have made it to the $100 million mark in the music and entertainment industry.

Jackson III's money came from his music career, his investments, and other ventures. 50 Cent became extremely successful after he was dropped by Columbia Records and signed with Eminem and Dre. His debut album sold over 15 million copies worldwide. Two years ago, he went on one of his biggest tours called The Final Lap Tour. It grossed over $100 million.

In terms of investment, Curtis had shares in Vitamin Water, which contributed a huge chunk to his net worth. He also launched energy drinks, headphones, and did boxing promotions.

Before he went bankrupt in 2015, 50 Cent's earnings from his music, tours, and brand deals came to $200 million to $300 million.

50 Cent open to working with Taylor Swift after her latest shout-out

Taylor Swift rarely name-drops in her songs, but that has changed with her latest studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. In one of her songs called Ruin The Friendship, Swift decides to mention 50 Cent, who, in turn, is fangirling at the lyrics.

The chorus of Ruin The Friendship goes:

"And it was not an invitation / But as the 50 Cent song played (Song playеd) / Should've kissed you anyway (Anyway) / And it was not (And it was not) convenient (Convenient), no / Would've been the best mistake / Should've kissed you anyway, hey"

On an Instagram post from when the album was released, Jackson III took to Instagram to share a cover photo of Swift's album, and captioned the post:

"@taylorswift shit is popping right now, 😏she shout me out, 🤫she don’t shout you out. LOL 😆 THIS IS FOR BIG TIMERS ONLY! @50centaction wait I’m the only shout out on the whole album. 🔥"

In an interview with ExtraTV, 50 talked about how he felt when he heard Taylor Swift shouting him out in one of her songs from her latest album. He said:

"It really is cool 'cause when she makes the reference, if you listen to the song, it's to what was going on in culture at that time. The music, you couldn't miss it at that point and that's why it was cool to me... What she was making reference to is the period that no one was more prominent in music at that point."

He was also asked if he would ever collaborate with Taylor Swift, and he responded by saying:

"We got to ask her because she's in the driver [seat]... You know how big Taylor Swift is right now? She has to have a record that sounds like it might sound good with 50."

50 Cent's influence in music and business continues to shine, even years after his bankruptcy. His impressive career, spanning hit albums, smart investments, and massive tours, has solidified his place among hip-hop's wealthiest icons. With Taylor Swift recently mentioning him in her new album, fans are eager to see if a collaboration between the two artists could be on the horizon.
