David Archuleta talks about Netflix's upcoming Star Search reboot

During an interview with TMZ, David Archuleta expressed his thoughts on the upcoming Netflix reboot of Star Search. David, who was once a contestant on the American television show, was curious to see how they would transform and modify the show that began in the 1980s.

He was asked if the producers had reached out to him in terms of judging the show or if he was even interested in being a part of the show. To this, Archuleta responded:

"Oh my gosh! I'd be up for it... Judging is a scary word... I'm like, 'Oh my, judging.' But yeah, it'd be fun to do. I mean, I had like, Hilary Duff as a guest judge when I was on, and I was excited when Hilary came on."

He also talked about meeting his former competitor Joelle James, and spoke about how long they have been working on it, and are still doing music.

They also spoke about the new host for the reboot of Star Search, Anthony Anderson, and this is what David Archuleta had to say:

"Ed McMahon was well-loved, and Arsenio, that was really fun as well. He'd always say, 'Hit me with the digits!' when they were counting up the scores, but I'm sure that Anthony will have a great take. I'm sure they didn't hire him for nothing, so..."

David Archuleta's journey from a young Star Search champion to a celebrated singer-songwriter has built him a solid career and a net worth of around $1.5 million. He continues to expand his influence through music, books, and television appearances. As Netflix prepares to reboot Star Search, Archuleta says he is open to returning in a judging role, reflecting on the show that launched his career.
