Mariah Carey's emerald necklace has an estimated auction value of $595,000, according to TMZ.

The 18-carat white gold necklace comes in a braided design with a center featuring three large emeralds surrounded by bright diamonds in 55 carats.

The length of the 115-carat necklace is reported to be around 16.5 inches, which makes it stand out. While its estimated auction value is higher, the bidding will likely start with a lower value of $75,000.

According to LiveAuctioneers, the necklace:

"Achieved international recognition in 2024 when Mariah Carey wore it in her Christmas Holiday Special, where its vivid green color became a signature highlight of the production. The piece was further featured on red buses across New York City as part of the campaign promoting the special."

Along with Mariah Carey, Connie Nielsen has also worn the necklace during the Academy Awards.

While Mariah Carey's necklace in the Instagram reel she posted last year showed only one big emerald in the center, it has two additional removable emeralds, making it a total of three.

The auction is being managed by Kruse GWS Auctions and will be held on December 13.

Mariah is famous for her jewelry choices and her love for diamonds. When asked if diamonds are a girl's best friend in a statement reported by People, she said:

"I hate to say it, but for the most part, people let you down. So I might have to go with it. With very few exceptions, but for the most part, yeah."

During her last year's interview with Vogue, while talking about her number one holiday present, she said:

"It was probably some diamonds, I've gotta say. Didn't want to say that out loud. But I had to. Because the person who got me the diamonds is not here."

In another past interview with Vogue, while talking about her collaboration with Chopard, Mariah Carey revealed that she has put a pause on buying jewelry for herself, only keeping pieces that hold an emotional value to her, along with a few vintage pieces.

She added:

"I am a collector of jewelry, and I do need to get a new jewelry case, if you know anybody. Mine is filled up, and I need a new one. I actually had this beautiful, vintage black and white Prada jewelry box, and then it just became too small. And I graduated to this other one."
