The trial of Sean Diddy Combs continued on May 21, 2025, with testimony from his former personal assistant, George Kaplan. Kaplan’s shocking testimony provided a glimpse into his hectic schedule as a personal assistant to the embattled music mogul.

Kaplan started working for Diddy in 2013 and kept his position for two years. He told jurors that within that timeframe, he worked 80 to 100 hours a week as a courier for food and other necessities during Combs’ extended hotel stays.

George Kaplan’s job description also included booking hotels under an alias for the Bad Boy Records boss, and sometimes cleaning up the hotel room after the latter was done using it.

Everything we know about George Kaplan’s testimony in the Diddy trial

George Kaplan alleged in his testimony that he was the courier guy for Diddy whenever the latter lodged in a hotel for an extended time. He was tasked with delivering food, clothes and drugs needed by his boss during his extended hotel stays.

He told jurors that some of the medication delivered included Advil, Tylenol, Wellbutrin and Ketamine—although he seemed to imply that there were other drugs in the mix, but couldn’t name them as he didn’t go through the package.

Kaplan claimed that at one time, he picked up MDMA for Diddy. MDMA is a stimulant and hallucinogen commonly referred to as Molly or ecstasy. He was instructed to pick up the drug in Miami. Diddy gave him money, a number and instructions which he followed and retrieved the drug from the seller.

George Kaplan also booked hotel rooms for Diddy using an alias—Frank Black. The alias was inspired by the Notorious B.I.G.’s nickname, Frank White.

Kaplan, who received immunity before his testimony began on May 21, 2025, told the court that his day began by liaising with Combs’ chef about breakfast.

The former employee testified that he had cleaned up the music mogul’s hotel rooms on occasion in an attempt to protect his public image. When asked by the prosecution counsel if he had cleaned the rooms he booked for his boss, the witness replied:

“Yes, bottles of baby oil, Gatorade. Once, brown crystallized powder was on the counter of the bathroom sink.”

Kaplan was asked why he didn’t just let the hotel staff clean the mess. He replied that it was implied in the scope of his job that he needed to protect his boss’s image:

“It was implied: protect his public image. I was keen on doing that.”

The next witness to be called by the prosecution is Kid Cudi, who had a brief relationship with Combs’ longtime girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
