Diddy's second week of trial began on Monday, May 19, 2025, and rapper Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, also known by his stage name Kid Cudi, is reportedly expected to take a stand this week, either Wednesday or Thursday.
Last week, which was the first week of Diddy's trial, his former girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, gave testimony for four days. During the trial, Cassie mentioned that she had dated rapper Kid Cudi briefly while she was involved with Diddy.
Cassie had also told the court about Diddy's anger when he found out about Cassie seeing the rapper and threatening to hurt them both.
Kid Cudi reportedly will be taking a stand in Diddy's trial
The rapper Kid Cudi reportedly will be taking a stand at Diddy's federal sex trafficking trial this week. In last week's trial, Cassie had testified that she was in a relationship with the rapper after they had met in December 2011, while her relationship with Diddy was going through ups and downs, as per People Magazine.
During the trial last week, Cassie revealed that Diddy came to know about her and Kid Cudi's relationship when he read emails on her phone during a freak-off. She said that when Diddy found out about the relationship, he got angry and lunged at her with a wine bottle opener between his fingers.
She then told the court that she had escaped and tried contacting Kid Cudi through a burner phone and even visited Diddy in his mansion the same day to sort things out. She said that Diddy was so angry that he threatened her with releasing the freak-offs videos that she was participating in, and also said that he would hurt Cudi and her, as per USA Today.
Cassie then told the court that while she was on her way out of Diddy's mansion, he had kicked her in the back. She said:
“Sean kicked me in the back, I fell on the floor, and then left. I had a large bruise on my back and bruises on other places — he literally kicked me with the bottom of his foot."
She also told the court that Diddy was so infuriated that he wanted to blow up Kudi's car and wanted his friends to witness the explosion. As per People Magazine, Cudi told the New York Times in 2023 that his car blew up around the same time.
According to XXL Magazine, in early 2012, Cudi's Porsche blew up. His car was set on fire by an 'incendiary device' at his Los Angeles home, causing him a loss of $10,000. The details of Cudi's car burning up were affirmed by the Los Angeles City Fire Department's arson report.
Currently, Diddy is held at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, New York, without bail since his arrest in September 2024.
