Jesse Watters, a political commentator and host of Jesse Watters Primetime on the Fox News Channel, recalled an incident involving the Daytime Emmy Award-winning actor and filmmaker, Shia LaBeouf.
On the Tuesday episode of Jesse Watters Primetime, where David Mamet, director and author, was appearing to promote his new film Henry Johnson, starring LaBeouf, Jesse recalled a shocking encounter with LaBeouf five years ago. This is what Walters said, according to Page Six:
''Well, Shia LaBeouf told me to go eff myself at a Delta lounge at the airport a couple years ago.''
He then added sarcastically:
''So tell him I said hi. Will you do that for me.''
What else did Jesse Watters say about his encounter with Shia LaBeouf?
The conversation between Jesse and Mamet continued. After hearing what Walters had to say about his encounter with LaBeouf. Mamet said:
''I think we need to … instead of electing very volatile people who love fantasies to be our actors, we have to start electing the philosopher kings and queens. What do you think?''
To which Walters replied, saying:
''I’d vote for a philosopher king or queen. Sign me up. I may even donate. I’m not allowed to — sorry Fox. Not in the handbook.''
This, however, was not the first time Jesse Watters had to say something about LaBeouf. Previously, while guest-hosting The Ingraham Angle in 2019, he shared an alleged confrontation he had with Shia, as per The Daily Mail. He said:
''The other day, I was at a lounge at the Delta Sky situation trying to take off for a flight with my family. And the actor Shia LeBeouf or whatever his name is, I think it was him, it looked exactly like him. I walk by and he calls me trash, right in front of my kids, you know?.
He continued:
''And I didn't say anything. I didn't lose it. But, you know, these things happen.''
The Padre Pio and Honey Boy star has been the centre of a number of controversies in recent years. The most recent one was in July when FKA Twigs officially ended the legal battle with ex-boyfriend LaBeouf. She had filed a high-profile lawsuit in 2020, accusing him of sexual battery, assault, and emotional distress.
The case was dismissed with prejudice after the two reached a private settlement. Both issued a joint statement wishing each other well. No financial or public terms were disclosed, according to The Guardian.
Shia LaBeouf is well known for his work in films, television, music videos, and theatre. He is best known for his work in films such as A Man Named Scott and Megalopolis, and for voice roles in video games including Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Surf's Up.
