What "insane" question did Taylor Swift ask Travis Kelce on their first date? Singer reveals on 'New Heights'

Taylor Swift’s one-hour-and-forty-five-minute New Heights podcast with Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce is taking over the internet. Uploaded to YouTube on August 13, the video pulled in more than five million views within just four hours.

Amidst the interesting questions revolving around her career and upcoming project, the Shake It Off singer also spilled details about her first date with Kansas City Chiefs tight end and her longtime boyfriend, Travis Kelce.

Discussing the topic, she said:

"On our first date, I legitimately asked him what it was like when the Chiefs played the Eagles in the Super Bowl, and he looked across the field, across the line of scrimmage and saw his brother standing on the other… five feet in front of him on the field"

Calling the question insane, Taylor Swift added:

“[Travis] didn’t even look at me. Like, I now know what an insane question that was. He was like, ‘Actually, I’m on the offense and my brother’s on the offense, and I’m only on the field at the same time as the defense.’ I thought everyone was on the field at the same time."

While she was new to the football world at the time, Swift said she has since learned a lot and has even become “obsessed” with the sport. Admiring her enthusiasm, Travis said in the podcast:

"I am forever thankful for you diving into the football world wholeheartedly"

The couple reportedly began dating a few months after the brothers faced off in the 2023 Super Bowl.

While Travis and Taylor keep their relationship private, the football player has been seen sharing stories about Taylor Swift on his New Heights podcast. In July 2023, Travis Kelce revealed attending the Eras Tour concert with a friendship bracelet with his number on it that he planned to give Swift. However, the plan was unsuccessful.

Revealing the details in the podcast, he said at that time:

"I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. So, I was a little butthurt that I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her."

He further added:

"I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it."

After hearing the story, Jason teased his brother, asking if he meant to give her his phone number or his jersey number, 87. Travis replied:

“You know which one.”

After the story aired, fans were quick to support Travis Kelce, with many already shipping the two at the time. The couple has been dating for almost two years now.
