The D4vd Tesla Case has a new update. According to a report by the Los Angeles Times, the singer’s rented home situated north of Sunset Boulevard was searched after a search warrant was obtained. Law enforcement sources familiar with the Celeste Rivas case, though not authorized to speak publicly, told the publication that investigators recovered several items from D4vd’s home, including electronics and computers.

While online speculations have practically deemed the singer the primary suspect, authorities haven't determined the cause of Celeste Rivas' death nor named a person of interest or suspect in the case.

“At this time, the LAPD does not have a crime classification from the coroner as to the mode or manner of death. Thus, we do not have any suspect information at this time,” the LA Police Department said in a statement as per NBC News.

More details on the D4vd Tesla Case

Following the discovery of the remains of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas in a Tesla linked to D4vd on September 8, 2025, the musician cancelled the remainder of his U.S. and UK tour dates. Billboard records an overall surge in streaming numbers, with his breakout hit song Romantic Homicide receiving the most gain.

According to the music platform, D4vd’s catalogue received 30.3 million official on-demand U.S. streams from September 18 to 22 alone, double the usual number. Romantic Homicide recorded 2.9 million streams and a week later, over nine million streams, 224% up from normal.

Celeste's body was recently released back to her family after undergoing extensive examination. Celeste’s body was found in the trunk of an impounded vehicle at the tow yard after police received complaints of a foul smell emanating from the car. Law Enforcement disclosed that Celeste’s body wasn't intact and was severely decomposed when found. She was wearing a tube top, black leggings, a metal chain bracelet, and stud earrings.

The Riverside County Sheriff’s Office confirmed with the LAPD that the deceased was Celeste Rivas Hernandez, a juvenile who was reported missing from Lake Elsinore in 2024. Lake Elsinore is approximately 70 miles from L.A., where she was found.

Apart from his spokesperson’s initial statement affirming his cooperation with the investigation, D4vd has not made any further comments on the case.
