Musical artist Hakeem Robinson, known by his stage name Ksoo, has been found guilty in the Lil Buck case. He is convicted of first-degree murder in the January 2020 shooting of Charles McCormick Jr. in Jacksonville, along with ATK Scotty.

As reported by Complex, State Attorney Melissa Nelson said in a statement:

"Five years ago, Hakeem Robinson and Leroy Whitaker stalked a man and gunned him down in broad daylight because of disputes and drill rap. Today, a jury held them accountable for their brazen crimes. This was an incredible effort by law enforcement and our team that takes two killers off our streets. Thank you to the jury for their time and dedication."

After the verdict was made, Ksoo released a statement on his Instagram that read:

"I had an all white 12 jurors with 3 white state attorney's with aye white judge in aye court room with all white judges on the wall every black person that I could pick on my juror was struck by the state"

He continued:

"I jus showed the whole world how Jacksonville Florida is corrupt an my lawyers proved I was Innocent god got the last say so.. ❤️"

Ksoo, in his caption, seemed to be calling out racial bias during his trial. He claimed the jury, judge, and prosecutors were all white, and that Black jurors were removed. Their sentencing will take place in September.

Ksoo's father, Abdul Robinson Sr., testifies against him

The evidence against Ksoo and ATK Scotty included cameras, footage, fingerprints of Robinson on the rifle, and a social media video of him mocking Lil Buck after his death.

When asked by his father, Abdul Robinson Sr., if he wanted to testify against him in a 2023 deposition, he agreed to it. On July 28, Abdul testified against his son in court, calling him a killer. When asked by his father why he decided to testify, he replied:

"When my 8-year-old daughter asked me when I'm going to come take her to the daddy-daughter dance... when she asked me over each year when I'm going to come take her there and I keep letting her down... then my 6-year-old son, he asked me when I'm gon' come to his football games, come take him fishing. My other 6-year-old he asking me when I'm gonna come see him... you know things like that."

He revealed being diabetic and having high blood pressure, congestive heart failure, and decreasing kidney health. However, Assistant State Attorney Joel Cooper argued those claims had no bearing on the outcome.
