Christopher George Latore Wallace, known by his stage name The Notorious B.I.G., has been named in a new lawsuit involving Diddy and an unnamed individual referred to as John Doe to protect his identity.
The rapper, born in 1972, died at the age of 24 in 1997 after being fatally shot in a drive-by shooting. He produced many hit songs throughout his career, including "Juicy" and "Big Poppa," establishing his name in the music industry in a remarkably short period.
He has also collaborated with Diddy on several songs, including "Mo Money Mo Problems" with The Notorious B.I.G.
As reported by TMZ, a T-shirt from Wallace's wardrobe was used by Diddy to perform a se*ual act and was later thrown at John Doe. The incident occurred in September 2020 at a Los Angeles warehouse where the late rapper's clothes were stored.
After performing the act, as per the lawsuit, Diddy reportedly laughed and said:
"RIP Biggie"
Diddy was reportedly jealous of The Notorious B.I.G.
While the two music artists had collaborated multiple times, a report released by Rolling Stone claimed that Combs was allegedly jealous of the late rapper.
The article interviewed Diddy's associates, who discussed his behavior and relationships. In an interview with Kirk Burrowes, former president of Bad Boy Records, a label founded by Sean Combs, he mentioned that Combs felt left out when Tupac Shakur and Christopher George Latore Wallace became friends. He further indirectly mentioned Combs by adding:
"There was someone on the sidelines jealous."
Burrowes also revealed that after Biggie’s death, Diddy asked to be on the Rolling Stone cover, even though it was originally meant for Biggie:
"I was telling Sean, ‘Let’s make it Biggie. You still have a chance [for a cover in the future]. He’s like, ‘No, he’s dead. I’m putting out [Combs’ debut album No Way Out] in July. I need to be on the cover of Rolling Stone"
Monique Bunn, a photographer, said:
"Pac didn’t have any kind of respect for Puff (Diddy)."
Tupac was killed in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996 at the age of 25. A year after his death, Biggie was fatally shot while leaving a party in L.A.
While many suspected Diddy was behind it, no evidence has been found to prove it. Biggie’s murder remains unsolved, as his killer has never been caught.
Diddy has not responded to the new lawsuit filed by John Doe, which involves The Notorious B.I.G. and alleges inappropriate behavior linked to the late rapper’s clothing.
